At work, there are many responsibilities that we have to manage. For example, we must meet deadlines to keep projects on track. But what happens when we face a difficult situation, like a project delay? One solution could be that we should communicate early with our team to explain the situation and suggest a new timeline. It’s important to be honest and transparent. Sometimes, we have to ask for help from colleagues or superiors to get back on track. This is especially true when you're working in a team and you encounter unexpected challenges.

In social situations, it’s important to consider how our actions affect others. For instance, we should always be respectful of other people’s time. If we’re late for a meeting with a friend, we must apologize and explain the situation. Additionally, we have to understand that sometimes things happen beyond our control. A possible solution here is to let others know in advance if we’re going to be late, to avoid frustration. This way, we can maintain strong and respectful relationships.
In both work and social contexts, effective communication and understanding of what we should do can help solve problems before they escalate. Whether it’s a project delay at work or being late to meet friends, we have to take responsibility and offer solutions. Remember, respect, transparency, and collaboration are key to resolving conflicts and improving our relationships.

Good morning, Miss Lucy Torres

I am writing to express my interest in the job opportunity at your organization. With experience in community work, research, and teaching, I am excited about the possibility of contributing to your team.

As a volunteer with the Maleua Foundation, I supported the ALMAS and Buen Vecinos projects by conducting home visits, surveys, and assisting with administrative tasks. I also gained valuable experience teaching preschool and primary school children at Colegio Villa del Mar. These roles allowed me to develop strong communication and organizational skills.

In addition, my work as a research assistant at Living And Foodies SAS and the Association of Farmers of the Canal de Dique strengthened my abilities in data collection, analysis, and report writing. My academic background in anthropology and involvement in research projects like "The Education of Cultural Heritage in Santa Marta" have further honed my research skills and deepened my commitment to ethical, community-focused work.

I am confident that my experience and dedication to social change would be an asset to Save The Children Careers. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to the success of your projects and am available for further discussion.

Sincerely,

AUDIO SCRIPT

In today’s fast-paced work environment, there are certain things we must do to ensure success. Whether you’re working in an office, a hospital, or even remotely, understanding what we have to do and what we should do is crucial. Let’s take a look at a few examples to better understand how we can solve common problems in both work and social contexts.

From my eco-friendly bags or tote bags business I can answer the following:

  • How can you be environmentally friendly at work?In a business like mine, which focuses on eco-bags with Christian phrases, there are many ways to be environmentally friendly. First, we make sure to use sustainable materials like organic cotton or recycled fabrics. Additionally, we should encourage reducing waste by minimizing packaging and reusing materials whenever possible. By promoting these habits in our daily work routine, we contribute to a healthier planet while aligning with our values of care and stewardship.

  • What kind of incentives could a green company offer to its employees?A green company could offer various incentives to encourage employees to embrace eco-friendly practices. For example, we could offer discounts on products like our eco-bags for employees who actively participate in sustainability initiatives. They should also be recognized for their efforts in reducing waste or using sustainable transportation. These rewards could help foster a culture of environmental consciousness and motivate others to follow suit.
  • In what other ways could businesses involve their employees in environmental issues?Businesses can involve employees in environmental issues by organizing regular workshops or training sessions about sustainability. For instance, we could invite experts to teach about eco-friendly practices, such as reducing energy consumption or recycling. Another idea is to create a "green team" that works together to brainstorm and implement new ways to improve the company’s environmental footprint. This would not only encourage collaboration but also create a sense of shared responsibility for the company’s environmental impact.

In conclusion, promoting environmentally responsible practices in the workplace benefits not only the environment but also strengthens the company culture. In a business like ours, which specializes in eco-friendly tote bags with Christian messages, being mindful of our environmental impact is essential. Implementing incentives that reward employees for their sustainable efforts and providing opportunities to engage more deeply in environmental issues can inspire positive change. By working together, we can not only reduce our ecological footprint but also foster a culture of responsibility and mutual care that reflects our values both professionally and personally.

👉In the eighth activity we worked  Foro de compartiendo experiencias laborales GA4-240202501-AA2-EV03

Experience:

In my academic and professional journey, I have learned to prioritize leadership, responsibility, and adaptability to solve problems in various social and workplace contexts.

For example, if I face a communication issue with a colleague, I focus on finding common ground to improve teamwork and ensure productivity.

  • What was the result of the experience?
The result of the experience was a stronger ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively, which improved teamwork and overall productivity. By preparing well for challenges and maintaining clear communication, I was able to achieve my goals and contribute to the success of the team.

  • How did your flexibility and adaptability help you deal with the situation?
My flexibility and adaptability allowed me to approach challenges with an open mind and find practical solutions. For instance, when facing tight deadlines, I adapted by prioritizing tasks and adjusting my approach to meet the needs of the situation. This flexibility helped me perform well under pressure and keep the team focused on shared objectives.

  • Would you change anything in order to deal in a better way with it?
If I could change anything, I would have sought more training in conflict resolution earlier in my career. This would have helped me address issues more efficiently and avoid unnecessary stress. Gaining these skills earlier would have made it easier to manage difficult situations and foster better communication within the team.

In conclusion, my experiences have taught me the importance of flexibility, adaptability, and effective communication in overcoming challenges. While I have made significant progress in resolving conflicts and managing tight situations, I recognize that continuous learning, such as further developing conflict resolution skills, can help me improve even more. These experiences have been valuable in shaping my approach to both professional and personal growth.
